On Cinco de Mayo, 2014, Paco Collars had one of their epic sample sales on Facebook. I spotted a luscious chocolate and brass leash that would match two of Karma’s most loved collars and snapped it up. I was thrilled about the leash until two days later when we got the crushing news that Karma won’t be with us much longer. I was heartbroken that in all likelihood, Karma wouldn’t be able to use the leash long enough for it to break in and become buttery soft.
And so began Karma’s Leash, a la Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. A simple request that a few of the Paco Collars staff start us off by playing with the leash to help break it in some turned into several friends in the Bay area offering to take Karma’s Leash out on adventures, use it, document its travels, and send it on to the next person, during the next two weeks, then send it on to us, already filled with love, friendship and super soft for my sweet old girl.
Karma’s last wish, her Bucket List as it were, is that her leash continue traveling and sharing the magic that she shared with me these last nine years. Once it came here, Karma used it until she departed for the Rainbow Bridge on November 17, 2014, and then Karma’s Leash will continue its journey, making the rounds to all of her friends, everyone who wants to participate, before ultimately returning home to retire with her in peace.

Thank you all for loving my girl as I have and for helping to make her last request a reality.
